Greetings Grognards!
Since the start of the year, our excellent tech folks have been upgrading and modifying The Vault to make it easier to find and buy your favorite products, and to ensure the security of the site and the privacy of our customers. You may have noticed these upgrades as they come on-line, things like the improved search bar, the "magnifying glass" to enlarge the cover pictures, and the better function of your "My Library" page. We've also just added last name privacy for product reviews. And they have more upgrades on the way!
Many of our upgraded features were suggested to us by our customers using the suggestion box at the bottom of the home page. So if you have an idea about improving the site, or even better if something irks you about the way our site works or looks, let us know!
And while I'm talking about the functions on the site, have you ever used the Wish List to put in products you'd like to have? Maybe you should try it, you never know, sometimes wishes come true!

Command Combat: Civil War - 1861 Core Rules Set

In Command Combat: Civil War, you take the role of a real, historical general leading his forces into battle. Choose who you will be, and what brigades you will have in your force, and lead them against other historical figures utilizing the unique Command Combat system, which streamlines combat to a simple format which focuses on how the personalities of the various generals effect the result of combat.
Play as the stoic Grant, the flamboyant JEB Stuart, the cautious, yet beloved George McClellan, or even the marble man himself, Robert E. Lee. There are many generals and specialized units from which to choose.
Command Combat not only puts you in the general's seat, but also gives a sense of how difficult it is to control any army. Players only have control over the generals they are playing. All osther units are restricted to a color coded group of orders that are given to them, and can only break out of those restrictions when given new orders. This, and other specialized rules, give the game a more realistic flavor, and helps the players understand why certain battles went the directions they did.
Put on the general's uniform and lead your men to victory in the most dynamic struggle in American history!

This package comes with circus big tents, medium 5.5 inch round tents, 1.6 inch square tents perfect for the midway, and circus wagons. Each tent comes in four color options. Game Features
Miniatures- Use what you have! NO need to rebase or use ‘approved’ models. Any company, Any basing, from Any time in history!
Size- Play with 3-20 models per side on a 3’x3’ or 4’x4’ Tabletop.
Game Play- Alternating Activations, Opposed Rolls, & Breaks in the Action keep Players engaged at all stages of the game! No waiting to get shot or stabbed by every model your opponent has!
Game Length- Between 30 minutes to an hour for most game sizes.

No Army Lists- Brink of Battle is points based with an open design structure. Players choose between 3 Force Organization Types – Standard, Elite, or Horde. They then buy their Commander, Veterans, & Troops to make up their Battle Force. Also includes rules for Cavalry, War Dogs, & Aerial Deployment!
Customized Forces- Over 50 Profile Traits let you customize your Force to represent the variety of fighting styles, troops, and training found in each Period. Over 60 Gear Traits are used to represent over 90 different types of weapons, armor, & equipment. Rules for Blackpowder smoke effects, Camouflage Uniforms, Extra Rations & Ammo, Tactical Harness, & Consulting the Oracle!
Missions- 3 Mission Types included: Raid, Recon, & Retrieval. Each Mission plays like a separate game for each different Period!
Tournament or Campaign- Choose to play one-off Tournament games, or have a developing Campaign with your models gaining Experience & Injuries that carry into future battles!
