Low Wrecked Walls

Easy to build: This paper model kit is easy to assemble, requiring just cardstock paper sheets to print on (110 lb. or 199gsm recommended), scissors, hobby knife, paper glue, metal ruler and cutting mat.

15mm to 30mm scale: This model set is designed at the popular 28mm-30mm gaming scale, and can be shrunk down to 15mm, 20mm or 25mm scales by simply adjusting the print size percentage on your printer. Tips and advice for altering the scale are included.

Multi-layered PDFs: This model kit features multi-layered PDFs that offer a variety of skins. These texture layers can be mixed and combined in various ways, giving you control over the appearance of your wall sections before you print. This means you can print each wall over and over, choosing a different look every time. It's many models in one!

You get all of these texture options:

  • Bricks (5 colors)
  • Stone (2 colors)
  • Concrete (2 colors)
  • Stucco
  • Broken stucco
  • Bullet holes
  • Burns
  • And more!

Software requirements: You'll need Adobe Reader to get the full use out of these layered PDFs.

Dimensions: The wall sections are irregularly-shaped, standing about 1" high on average. 4 wall sections are approximately 3" in length. 8 wall sections are approximately 6" in length.

Another nice kit from Dave. For the novice, bear in mind that ruins always require a good deal more cutting than intact building models. For 15mm (or smaller) I'd recommend just affixing the two sides to cardstock and foregoing the 'tops' and ' [...]

The walls serve for many different game genres. I'm using the stucco finish for WW2 and for Slaughterloo/Flintloque games. The number of folds make them a bit more complicated than I initially thought, but no problem for an experienced paper modeler. [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
