Good art. Good story. Sort of an updated "Shadow"-type character, with some high-tech twists. I would be interested in reading more Madame Mirage from this taste.

Good art, good story. I'm willing to stick with this, could be an excellent series if the quality is kept up.

I Loved this Series- They Should Write MORE Adventures. I'd also love to see a Madame Mirage/Ghost Team-up. Paul Dini was as usual Spectacular in his writing and Pacing. The back story is engaging and leads towards a prequel or two. The Love of the two sisters and the unlife as a hologram reminds me of another favorite Character- Roya of CrossGen Comics' Sigil.

Nice art, backstory had some flaws, but the main story is nice and stylish.

I “read” comics for the artwork; but I feel that what is most lacking in popular entertainment is good writing. Because the themes of melodrama are ageless; a good story needs to surprise us with a creative re-telling of the familiar. I enjoy the topical premise of “Madam Mirage” #1: when they outlaw megatech, only criminals will have megatech. M. Mirage uses a pistol to battle supervillains. The NRA would approve.

Dini's dime-novel dialogue gives the title character a retro persona to match her wardrobe. The old avenger-vs.-crime-syndicate genre could do worse than to borrow from film noire.

Still, it’s the action and design of Rocafort's artwork that holds my attention. I’m not a critic, at heart, so suffice it to say that I'd rather be reading the next issue of “Madame Mirage” than writing this review. So, I'll cut it short.

The cover image offended my feminist sensibilities, but I've liked other things that this publisher has to offer, so I bit the bullet and tried this free issue. GOOD DECISION. The story packs in plenty of action and intrigue as well as some strong female characters. I'll definitely be reading more about Madame Mirage and her quest to end corruption.

paul dini's name caught my eye on this title. i've liked pieces he's written in the past.

professional art and coloring, solid writing, a mysterious woman who takes many guises, bio-engineered heroes/villains, cybernetically enhanced humans and an organization that wants to use their talents as assassins. there was enough of a story to tell where the writer is headed. what's not to like?

this is a full issue, unlike many free issues that introduce the concept of the title without giving you a story strong enough to hang your coat on, to hopefully get you to sign up to subsequent issues. You get a chance to make a well informed evaluation/decision.

I liked it. plain and simple.
